Compliance status with legal requirements 
The booking system is based on the GMS Online Booking software and is technically provided by GMS Hutter GmbH & Co KG at the URLs listed above. 

The booking pages have been adapted to match the design of Hotel Walchseerhof. 

The content and visual responsibility for the structure, information, and overall presentation lies with Hotel Walchseerhof, which is considered the responsible service provider under § 5 BFSG. 

GMS acts as the technical service provider in this context. 

The booking pages are based on the requirements of WCAG 2.1, conformance level AA, and the European standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018-08). The content is currently only partially accessible. A comprehensive technical and design revision to improve accessibility is planned. 

Accessibility was assessed based on: 

  • a self-assessment by the technical provider (GMS) and the hotel client (Walchseerhof) 

  • automated tests using WAVE and PageSpeed Insights 

  • manual tests using keyboard navigation and the NVDA screen reader

The site is generally operable via keyboard, but some focus indicators are missing (e.g., buttons during the booking process). 
When using the NVDA screen reader, key page elements (e.g., search filters) are not fully announced or semantically clear. 
Some form inputs are ambiguous due to missing labels, which are not replaced by placeholder text. 
Form error messages are visually visible but not programmatically linked (missing aria-describedby).

  • Third-party content not controlled by GMS or Walchseerhof 

  • The cookie banner integrated by Walchseerhof is the sole responsibility of the hotel operator and not part of this statement
